Ziggo keeps dropping on ucg

Hi all

Since I upgraded from an old cloud key to a ucg and reinstalled my network I’ve been having strange issue that I lose internet connectivity randomly to my gateway. It worked fine for the first month or so, now it’s a lot more frequent, sometimes for 1 min sometimes for 30 mins. Ziggo claims there are no network issues in my area.

Would someone mind looking over my settings attached and maybe suggest if I did something dumb.

The modem is in bridge mode (asked and confirmed with ziggo that was done). It’s a giga connectbox modem, I am meant to have 1200mbps but the UniFi Speedtest clocks only 960 or so.

Followed a basic YouTube video setup from crosstalk solutions.

As far as I can see the settings are ok. I think the best way to start troubleshooting is to get the modem out of bridge-mode and then test for a while. If het connection is stable you know there is a problem after the modem. If the issue will show up using the modem then Ziggo has a problem.

So I actually had the problem previously with the modem not in bridge mode. I asked ziggo to switch it to bridge after reading up that it was probably interfering. So yeh, had it in both modes :(

A few weeks ago I had similar problems with my Ziggo connection. Slow download and unstable upload, sometimes disconnected from the internet. The servicedesk told me my connection would be fine, but the send a mechanic to check the line. He did a lot of testing and monitoring With the same result as mine, slow up/downloads.
Very embarrassing (for me as a former IT guy) to say, but a factory reset of the Sagemcom modem finally did solve my problems. Hope this simple solution will fix your problem to.

For which part of the connection? The coax from fiber to the modem?

Interesting. Do I need any settings if I were to factory reset it? Or would it just open again in bridge mode and have default settings that work?

je kunt gewoon een reset doen, het modem gaat automatisch weer naar bridge mode met default settings die out of the box werken

Als het probleem dan niet opgelost is.....er zou nog een probleem kunnen zijn tussen het verschil in snelheid tussen de Connectbox Giga (1Gbps) en de UCG Ultra (2,5Gbps).
