Overview
This release supports UID IoT WiFi. UID IoT WiFI offers a cost-effective solution for connecting all your IoT devices securely. Without the need for additional physical layer protocol bridges and gateway hardware, IoT WiFi reduces human labor costs and network architecture complexity.Meanwhile, UID Manager mobile app is now available for all EA users for free.
Requirements for using UID IoT WiFi
In order to use UID IoT WiFi, please ensure the devices have met these firmware requirements:
- UniFi AP: Version 5.71 or higher
- UID Agent: Version 1.42.3+1545 or higher
- UDM Base or UDM Pro: Version1.9.3 or higher
To upgrade AP’s version to 5.71, you can go here to copy the corresponding link and go to UniFi OS > Network > UniFi Devices to select the AP and open its properties panel. Select Device > Manage to paste the link to Custom Upgrade, then click Apply Custom Upgrade.
Notices:
- Make sure you have updated the related devices to the required version as shown above.
- If you have added IoT WiFi by Mac Address before, please re-add the IoT device after you updated it to the latest version.
- If you click "Forget This Network" on the WiFi list of IoT devices, the admin needs to delete the IoT WiFi Device in the UID > One-click WiFi > IoT WiFi Devices first before re-adding the IoT device.
